A Brief Biography of Shihan Farhad Dordar - Teacher,
Mentor, and President of the SKF
Twenty five years ago in Iran, Shihan
Farhad Dordar started training in martial arts, Little did he know that
the rest of life would be spent as an exceptional martial artist.
Originally amazed by martial arts movies, he began pursuing what was to
become his lifetime passion, becoming a black belt in 6 forms of martial
arts, including, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Kickboxing, and Top Karate and others.
In the past 15 years in an effort to expand and improve his beloved sport,
he has invested a great deal of time researching and studying
approximately 30 different styles of martial arts. Many of these styles
are appreciated and practiced in many countries around the world. He soon
began combining the best and most effective techniques to form his own
style, which he believes is the most effective and devastating, style
today for tournaments or self defense.
Co-founding the Sport Kickboxing Federation (SKF)
with his brother Farid is their attempt to legitimize
this unique style. Now focusing on spreading the
word of this exciting martial arts. Shihan Farhad
Dordar has become an instructor of incomparable
character believing in dedication, respect and self-motivation.
He instills an attitude in those who have learned
from him that is second to none, constantly on a
quest to be the best in whatever they attempt whether
in personal growth, mental discipline or physical
conditioning. Shihan Farhad Dordar believes he has
been fortunate enough to train a great many excellent

the Middle East.
Not
only a world recognized martial artist and beloved
teacher. He is also recognized as a star".
and has had starred and performed in several martial
arts movies.
"Shihan"
Farhad Dordar, on The SKF
Due
to the physical, sociological and geographical differences
in the martial art, philosophies and styles differ.
These differences obviously have influenced the
techniques and the competitions. There are factors
involved in determining the degree of aggressiveness
and/or the level of understanding of the philosophy
and culture of martial arts. For the first time
in the world we have developed a style of kickboxing
for kickboxers to learn their techniques more quickly
and effectively. In this new style we combined the
best techniques of other styles like Karate and
jujitsu. The result is a style which is highly effective
for the purpose of self-defense and competitions.
We have also started our own competitions which
have helped quickly spread the style all over the
world. We are also concentrating on the important
issue's of preparing, training and testing all referees
which would help our federation to have tournaments
that are highly rated due to the technical qualities
and fairness. This style will benefit the students
who are looking for the mental training aspect of
martial arts combined with the physical techniques
of kickboxing.
"Shihan"
Farhad Dordar, on the mind and body
In
my opinion, human beings are composed of mind and
body; strengthening the body and mind will result
in the highest of achievements. Martial arts, when
training the mind and body, plays an important and
effective role, resulting in a person with a strong
body and indestructible spirit. The mind and body
both have effects on each other, for example when
you are experiencing a certain amount of physical
pain, there are effects on your spirit and mood.
It is also true that when you have a strong body,
physical limitations do not effect you as much.
Strengthening your mind will strengthen your body
and vice versa. When the spirit is strong and healthy,
even social problems don't look so severe and can
be solved with more ease. Martial arts could make
positive changes and have positive effects on people
of all ages. These changes will result in a society
filled with better and more disciplined people,
making life sweeter and more enjoyable. This is
why all martial artists take the steps required
to become accomplished and then distribute this
state of mind to others.
